Simon Amor PGA Head Professional
Simon is delighted to be a part of the team at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. As a well-respected and fully qualified golf professional with over 27 years as a Head Professional, he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to his position at the Club.
Simon`s first golf lesson was at Ogbourne Downs some 49 years ago where his passion for the game took off. After a very successful amateur career and winning many trophies along the way, in 1993 he decided it was time to turn professional.
Simon is on hand to advise members and visitors on purchases within the Clubs Pro shop and offers a full custom fitting service for Callaway, Ping and Taylormade.
As a respected coach with a sound knowledge of the golf swing, Simon offers a range of lessons to suit all abilities of golfer, from the complete beginner to the elite level. Lesson packages can be tailored to suit individuals or groups.

Ben Amor
As a distinguished professional golfer with an international playing history, Ben joined the Professional Golfers Association in 2019, his goal was to use his playing background to provide help and support to golfers of all abilities. Ben uses his previous playing experience to emphasize the significance of strong fundamentals, course management, and how to adapt to various conditions.
Since starting coaching Ben has developed a passion for coaching players of all abilities. Whether that is beginners playing for the first time or players that have aspirations to make it to the top of the game. Ben provides Junior coaching sessions on Saturdays and enjoys giving back to the younger generation.
A proud owner of a Trackman unit Ben uses this throughout his lessons to provide feedback and keeps up to date with the latest trends in the industry.

Juniors
Juniors are welcome at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe learning environment for all young golfers and we are trained to guide all levels from beginner to elite junior.
Coaching Camps are also available every school holiday. Please contact the club for more information regarding junior coaching and competitions.
Kickstart Membership
Become a member of Ogbourne Downs Golf Club for £100!
This membership category is for adults (18 and over) at the beginning of their golfing journey. Under the guidance of Head Professional Simon Armor, Kickstart members will receive all the tuition and gather all the knowledge they need to take the step into full membership of the club. The challenge will be set at an achievable level for all participants making the learning process smooth and enjoyable. We hope that all Kickstart members will complete the 12 months with a handicap and feel comfortable with all aspects of the game.
There will be 2 group coaching sessions available to Kickstart members every week at a cost of £10 per lesson.
Driving range group lesson Wednesdays 5pm – 6pm
On course group lesson Saturdays 3pm – 5pm
