Simon Amor – PGA Head Professional
Simon is delighted to be a part of the team at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. As a well-respected and fully qualified golf professional with over 27 years as a Head Professional, he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to his position at the Club.
Simon`s first golf lesson was at Ogbourne Downs some 49 years ago where his passion for the game took off. After a very successful amateur career and winning many trophies along the way, in 1993 he decided it was time to turn professional.
Simon is on hand to advise members and visitors on purchases within the Clubs Pro shop and offers a full custom fitting service for Callaway, Ping and Taylormade.
As a respected coach with a sound knowledge of the golf swing, Simon offers a range of lessons to suit all abilities of golfer, from the complete beginner to the elite level. Lesson packages can be tailored to suit individuals or groups.

Harry Brewis – PGA Professional
Harry qualified as a PGA Professional in 2023 and joined the Ogbourne Downs Golf Club Professional Team in September 2024 bringing over 5 years of experience from Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort.
At Ogbourne Downs, Harry is the lead Junior Development Coach, aiming to increase junior participation and foster a love for the game within the club community. His vision includes creating a supportive environment for skill development and engagement.
To enhance his coaching Harry utilises CoachNow for video analysis and Trackman 4 for club and ball flight data.
In addition to coaching, Harry remains an accomplished player, competing in Regional and National PGA tournaments.
Harry is excited about the opportunity ahead at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club.

Jack Charman – Retail Manager
Jack joined the team at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club in November 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both competitive golf and the professional retail environment. After turning professional in 2017, Jack enjoyed early success, securing his first professional victory shortly thereafter and establishing himself on the tournament circuit.
He went on to compete on a number of highly regarded satellite tours, including the EuroPro Tour and the Clutch Pro Tour, gaining valuable experience at a high level of the professional game. In 2022, Jack transitioned his focus into retail, where he developed a strong understanding of customer service and product knowledge.
With over a decade of playing experience and a successful amateur career underpinning his professional journey, Jack brings a well-rounded skill set to Ogbourne Downs. He is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the Club and looks forward to working closely alongside the dedicated team to enhance the experience for members and visitors alike.
Juniors
Juniors are welcome at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe learning environment for all young golfers and we are trained to guide all levels from beginner to elite junior.
Coaching Camps are also available every school holiday. Please contact the club for more information regarding junior coaching and competitions.
Kickstart Membership
Become a member of Ogbourne Downs Golf Club for £100!
This membership category is for adults (18 and over) at the beginning of their golfing journey. Under the guidance of Head Professional Simon Armor, Kickstart members will receive all the tuition and gather all the knowledge they need to take the step into full membership of the club. The challenge will be set at an achievable level for all participants making the learning process smooth and enjoyable. We hope that all Kickstart members will complete the 12 months with a handicap and feel comfortable with all aspects of the game.
There will be 2 group coaching sessions available to Kickstart members every week at a cost of £10 per lesson.
Driving range group lesson Wednesdays 5pm – 6pm
On course group lesson Saturdays 3pm – 5pm
